There has been a couple of weeks of great weather here now. It has been dry and sunny for a while. I actually went to the north of the country and it was a fantastic journey:

The weather was great and I was thoroughly tired after the trip. I took the bus after such a long time and the return trip was almost as expensive as the cab ride from my house to the bus station. The north is very different from the south and it was a very interesting experience.

My work is getting real busy and there are times when I regret not being paid for every hour put in. I still think that the lower you are in the hierarchy the better off you are being paid per hour of work.

My domain expired and I had to frantically renew it.. I think for a day or two this site was pointing to some ads infested page. I think I am going to switch the domain providers the next time around because it seems a bit too expensive for me. I have been sticking to the same host and domain company mostly because it is a pain to move everything to a new site. I cannot use XML-RPC and in turn cannot use any journal clients on this host so that is one more incentive for me to switch.

Opera on Linux is so much faster than Firefox. You notice this especially when you are scrolling. My poor old Celeron performs very fast scrolling even with a number of tabs open.. while Firefox hogs so much RAM and the processor that it almost inevitably crashes.

This week ten years ago, I graduated high school.. it seems like it was in the distant past but there is no high school reunion or anything .. at least not yet… I am not in touch with anyone ever since I moved here.. I was in touch with a couple of people every now and then till last year.. anyway I was looking at the yearbook the other day and was laughing at what a dumbass I was.. maybe I will read this in ten years and have the same reaction! ….
