After mentoring, I think building products and companies is one of the most rewarding things that you can do. Today, a friend told me that hes plans to start his own thing. It reminded me of three years ago when another friend and I started our own little company off my basement apartment when he had lost everything (not out of choice): his job, his house etc. It was one of the most fun and rewarding projects I had worked on. And while the company went bust (wish there was a Open Angel Forum) and we shut it down after eighteen months, the learning was amazing. Watch till 24 minutes, a great personal story:
